There are now over 70 licensed suppliers of gas and electricity in the UK. And, these suppliers have several thousand different electricity tariffs that are available to consumers. And, with so many choices there’s no reason that you should be paying more than you have to for your electricity.

The majority of the homes in the UK are still on the standard electricity tariffs. If you have been putting off finding a cheaper tariff and switching electricity suppliers, you’re literally throwing money away. It’s so easy to compare electricity tariffs and find out how much you could save.

If you want to avoid a raise on your tariff you might want to consider choosing a fixed rate tariff. However, they are more expensive and it’s uncertain whether or not it’s better to opt for a fixed rate. And, if you decide to switch providers during the term, you’ll be charged a cancellation fee.
